A 35-year-old Alder man faces several charges after he reportedly fired a gun from a car window and pointed the weapon at a teenager.
Ryan Maddison is charged with felony criminal endangerment, assault with a weapon and misdemeanor shooting a firearm across a roadway.
The Madison County sheriff's office reported the encounter happened on Highway 287 between Virginia City and Sheridan about 7 p.m. Thursday. Maddison is charged with driving in front of a car with three teenagers in it, pointing a gun out the window and shooting it. The teens stopped at a nearby home and Maddison allegedly followed them. He's charged with pointing the gun at one of the teens.
No one was injured.
Maddison was charged Friday in Justice Court. His bail was set at $25,000.
