Police have arrested a man who says he traveled with a missing Helena woman from Montana and left her outside Madera, Calif.
The Independent Record reports (http://bit.ly/Rk41xc0) James Alexander Lee is being held by the Madera County authorities.
Lewis and Clark County deputy attorney Lisa Leckie says prosecutors will seek his extradition to face charges of holding a person against her will over an alleged drug deal.
Angelica Melody Gray was last seen Dec. 11.
Helena Police Chief Troy McGee says Lee told authorities he dropped Gray off outside the central California city.
The 22-year-old left her children at the YWCA where she had been staying. Her cellphone, purse and identification were still in her room.
She faces a $50,000 warrant for leaving the state and leaving her children unattended.
