The Washington man accused of leading police on high speed chase following a Belgrade purse snatching last month pleaded not guilty Monday.
Prosecutors say Joshua Bolton and another man prowled the parking lot of the Belgrade Albertson's looking for someone to rob. The two allegedly stole an elderly woman's purse and knocked her to the ground when she tried to get it back.
When troopers caught up the car on Interstate 90 they say Bolton tried to out run them.
Documents say speeds topped 100 miles an hour during the chase, and that at one point the car was driving into oncoming traffic on I-90.
Bolton is facing felony charges for robbery by accountability and criminal endangerment. If found guilty Bolton faces up to 50 years in prison and $100,000 in fees.
