BOZEMAN, Mont -

A 25-year-old Bozeman man was struck by a pickup and critically injured while riding his bicycle southwest of Bozeman and the Montana Highway Patrol is searching for the driver, who left the scene.

The patrol says Kevin Colter Kline was riding on a county road at about 1 a.m. Wednesday when he was struck from behind by a pickup truck.

Trooper Brandon Uhl says Kline was able to call his friends for help, but couldn't say where he was. They found him by following Kline's usual route.

Kline was hospitalized in critical condition in Bozeman on Wednesday and was to be flown to an out-of-state hospital for further treatment.

Officials are looking for a 1987-1991 Ford F-series pickup or full-sized Ford Bronco.
