A 75-year-old Laurel man was assaulted over the weekend by someone who broke into his house.
Police in Laurel say the victim was beaten and burned by a suspect who stole his wallet at about 3 a.m. Saturday.
Laurel police interviewed a "person of interest" and collected a DNA sample. Officers say DNA found at the scene was being compared to the sample.
No charges were immediately filed.
