The Lady Griz have been awarded the 13-seed in the Spokane Region for the Women's NCAA Tournament.
Their first-round game will be this Saturday, March 23rd against 4-seed Georgia. That game will air on ESPN2 at 6:30 p.m. MST.
The Lady Griz are back in the NCAA tournament for the second time in the last three years. The last time they were in the tournament in 2011 Montana was the #14 seed and faced #3 UCLA but fell to the Bruins.
This year the Lady Griz are hoping to make a run in the tournament, and they feel like being in the Spokane region will benefit them since they are so close to home.
The Lady Griz finished the regular season with a record of 24-7 and earned an automatic berth into the NCAA tournament. Montana is making its 20th appearance at the NCAA tournament in the event's 32-year history.
