Kalispell resident Adam Birks decorated his house for Christmas but did it for a good cause. His brightly decorated house had lights that danced and sparkled to a multitude of holiday tunes.
Now that the lights are turned off, he's totaling up the donations from the box that was outside of his home. Birks' goal was to raise $1,000 for Kalispell Regional Healthcare Foundation's pediatric fund.
Birks said the initial total is at $1,046. but he still has a bucket full of change to count as well.
"I think we're definitely going to be a tradition as long as the community doesn't kick me out," Birks chuckled. "I think it's a good thing and people - I got so much positive feedback from it that it's definitely something we'll continue to do."
No word on what program Birks might donate money to next year, but he hopes to keep it within the hospital's foundation.
