High speed chase ends in Missoula

HIGH SPEED CHASE MISSOULA
MISSOULA, Mont. -

Missoula police and deputies were involved in a high speed chase. 

The chase began around eight this morning in Cascade County when a drunk driver was reported running others off the road. The suspect continued on Highway 200.

The vehicle was described as a dark Honda traveling at an extremely high rate of speed (120-140 mph).

Montana Highway Patrol set up a tack strip at mile marker seven near Bonner, but the suspect was able to elude MHP and Missoula County Police.

The vehicle made its way into Missoula and sped through stop signs headed south west on Wyoming. The chase ended when the suspect crashed into another car while turning south onto Curtis road.

The suspect's vehicle suffered major front end damage.

The 20 year-old-man, described as white with shaggy hair, is in custody and awaits a hearing to be set for tomorrow.
