Glacier Oncology, based in Kalispell, has opened a new office on the North Valley Hospital campus. Doctors say the location will better serve patients who live in town as well as farther places like Eureka.

The office also has a new face - Doctor Susan Gingrich, who came to the Flathead from New York after practicing there for over 20 years. Gingrich specializes in individualized cancer testing to pinpoint specific treatments.

"It's really the first time in medicine that I've encountered a philosophy - the Plaintree philosophy of North Valley Hospital - that is very similar to mine," said Gingrich. "It's a more patient centered philosophy and it puts the needs of the patient first."

Glacier Oncology Whitefish treats adult cancers of the body and blood. Patients will have access to North Valley's lab, imaging, and surgical services.
