Folks with the Gallatin Valley Food Bank say they are busy preparing food donations for Thanksgiving food boxes, set to start going out on Saturday.
     
Tuesday night they say they'll pack 1600 food boxes with a crew of 20 volunteers.
     
That's 200 more food boxes than last year.
     
But right now, they only have 51 turkeys, nearly 1,550 shy of their goal.
     
They're also looking to get more cream of mushroom soup, stuffing and can always used canned fruit.
     
Folks with the food bank say needs have gone up at least 20 percent in the last two years.

"There's a lot of reasons for that.  A lot of people are under-employed, just some low wages, medical bills.  We see all sorts of people who are really trying hard to make ends meet and it's just not quite enough," says Gallatin Valley Food Bank Operations Manager Jill Holder.
    
Folks with the Gallatin Valley Food Bank say they're expecting 300 people to pick up boxes on Saturday and that will continue through next Wednesday.
     
They're also in the middle of 'Can the Griz'.
     
They say they're trying to get at least as much as last year- that's 50 thousand pounds of food.
     
'Can the Griz' ends Saturday at noon.
