The Montana Democratic Party says U.S. Sen. Al Franken and former aide to President Barack Obama Jim Messina will speak at its annual Mansfield-Metcalf dinner next month.
Franken is a Minnesota Democrat and a former Saturday Night Live star who was first elected in 2008. Messina is from Montana and was Sen. Max Baucus' chief of staff before becoming Obama's deputy chief of staff. Messina led Obama's re-election campaign last year.
The annual dinner also will feature Montana native and former NARAL Pro-Choice America President Nancy Keenan and union leader Lee Saunders.
The dinner is March 9 at the Lewis and Clark County fairgrounds.
