A former MSU student received a three year deferred sentence for aggravated burglary.
20-year-old Rodney Sheppard Jr. broke into a house with three other people and held up the residents about six months ago. He's been in jail ever since.
He pleaded guilty.
Besides the sentence he has to pay the victims $4,374.54.
Sheppard Jr. was given permission to allow his probation supervision to transfer to Minnesota and will have to undergo substance abuse counseling.
