Former Grizzly standout and NFL player Trumaine Johnson was arrested early Friday morning in Missoula for driving under the influence of alcohol.
According to the Missoula County jail roster, Johnson was booked around 3 a.m., and was released after posting bail around 4:15 a.m.
Missoula Police Detective Travis Welsh said Johnson was pulled over in Missoula near the cross streets of Front and Owen shortly after 2 a.m.
Welsh said Johnson was driving his vehicle without headlights Officers said Johnson refused a breathalyzer test, but they arrested him after he showed signs of intoxication.
Johnson appeared in Missoula Municipal Court Friday afternoon and pleaded not guilty.
After the hearing, he declined an interview with our reporter and said he had no comment.
Johnson was drafted in the third last year by the St. Louis Rams. The Rams released a statement saying they were aware of the arrest and had no further comment.
This is Johnson's first DUI arrest.
