Volunteers filled the Gallatin Valley Food Bank to hand out holiday food boxes for Thanksgiving.
Organizers tell us they prepared 1,600 boxes to give out between Saturday and Wednesday.
Tuesday, they only had 51 turkeys but they say they met their goal of 1600 just in time.
Coordinators say they expect to see 300 people Saturday alone, keeping volunteers busy preparing bags and hauling turkeys.
Volunteers say it feels good to help out.
"I feel that I'm here for a purpose and part of my purpose is to be kind to others and if I can volunteer and help someone else, then that makes me feel better," says volunteer Rita McGough.
"Can the Griz" food drive also wrapped up Saturday. Bozeman came in with 68,515 pounds while Missoula's food donations tallied up at 29,025.5 pounds.
