MISSOULA, Mont. -

Emergency responders worked frantically today to save a 44-year-old Anaconda woman who ran into trouble in the Clark Fork River, east of Missoula.

The woman was reportedly inner-tubing with her husband, children, and nephews about a mile up Highway 200, near Bonner, when she became separated and stuck in a log jam.

Her 15-year-old nephew tried to free her, but lost his grip and she disappeared under water.

Deputies say two fishermen pulled her from the river downstream and started CPR until the ambulance arrived.

She remains in critical condition.
