The Montana Democratic Party is picking an organizer from Missoula to lead the party as it prepares for the 2014 elections.
Andrea Marcoccio currently runs Forward Montana, a group known for registering young voters and organizing around progressive issues.
She replaces Ted Dick, who left after guiding the party through 2012 elections that saw them win key battles for the governor and the U.S. Senate.
Marcoccio comes on board as the party prepares to help U.S. Sen. Max Baucus' re-election effort.
The 28-year-old former All-American soccer player says another top priority for Democrats will be trying to wrest control of the Legislature from Republicans.
