MHP troopers say a Columbia Falls man is in intensive care after he lost control of his ATV and hit a barbed wire fence. According to the Montana Highway Patrol, the 58-year old man left a farmer’s field on Saturday night off and ran into a ditch off of Lewis Lane.

Troopers say he suffered a bad cut to his neck in the wreck, but that hospital staff expect him to survive. Troopers say speed wasn’t a factor, but they’re still investigating the possibility of drugs and alcohol being involved.
