The Missoula Marathon is put on by a group of dedicated members of Run Wild Missoula who want to share the area's beauty and Missoula's unique feel with runners from all over.
One woman racing in this years Missoula Marathon has already finished 262 marathons, not only has she accomplished that, but she's also a two year breast cancer survivor.
Carol Dellinger, a Spokane native, runs an average of 12 to 18 marathons per year. She says being cancer free makes her thankful to be alive.
"You know it's a disease that it doesn't matter if your fit or healthy it will attack you and it didn't matter that i lead a good healthy life and just overcoming something like that it just makes me live each day to its fullest" Dellinger said.
During the race Dellinger will be wearing her pink cancer survivor race shirt to show she beat the deadly disease.
