Leaders and entrepreneurs in Montana's technology industry gathered in Bozeman, Saturday, for the first annual BigSkyDevCon.
Coordinators say technology is on an upswing in Montana and has the potential to be a huge economic driver for the state.
They say the conference is an opportunity for software developers, web designers and technology business leaders to work together to grow the industry- creating jobs and money for Montana.
"You need money to fund the businesses, you need smart people to drive them and you need the business people to help guide them so, here today, we've got elements of all that and we're trying to bring those all together and strengthen the network of people in Montana that are involved in technology that are helping each other grow their respective businesses," says Bozeman Chapter of the Montana Programmers' Rob Irizarry.
Montana Programmers hosted the event. They say they're a resource for entrepreneurs and businesses that need technology support.
