The Office of the Commissioner of Political Practices has ruled Steve Bullock's campaign for governor did not deposit a political-action committee check on time.
The commissioner released the decision Friday in a complaint that claimed Bullock did not deposit 28 PAC checks within five business days as is required.
But the commissioner's office says its research found the campaign was only tardy in depositing one $600 check, from the DISH Network PAC. It was received on May 12, 2011, and deposited 19 days later.
The commissioner's office did not immediately issue a penalty.
Bullock is the first-term attorney general. The Democrat defeated Republican Rick Hill earlier this month, and is preparing to take office in January.
