A Bozeman man has been sentenced in Montana's U.S. District Court to five years in prison for sending obscene material to children and receiving child pornography.
The Bozeman Daily Chronicle reports that 20-year-old Joseph Franklin Reynolds will also have 10 years of supervised release after his sentence.
U.S. Attorney Cyndee Peterson said in court documents that Reynolds found a cellphone at a local skate park that had been lost by a minor boy, and that Reynolds used the phone's contact list to communicate with minor girls. Prosecutors say he sent an obscene photo to a 14-year-old girl, and that investigators found child pornography on his computer.
