MORNING STAR ELEMENTARY
BOZEMAN, Mont. -

She might have tied for second in the state spelling bee, but Grace Rembert of Bozeman knows her geography.

The fifth-grader from Morning Star Elementary in Bozeman outlasted 99 other students to win the state geography bee Friday at Montana State University Billings. She advances to the national competition in Washington, D.C., in May. The National Geographic Bee is moderated by "Jeopardy!" host Alex Trebek.

Rembert and Logan Means of Washington Middle School in Missoula correctly answered seven questions in a tiebreaking round before Means made a mistake on the eighth.
