NBC Montana has confirmed that a 4-year-old drowned last night after falling into a pond near Boy Scout Road in Seeley Lake.
Missoula County Sheriff's Office spokesman Capt. Josh Clark says emergency crews responded to the area around 6 p.m. Thursday.
Clark says "valiant life saving efforts" were preformed, but the boy was pronounced dead shortly after arrival to a Missoula area hospital.
The boy was found unconscious in the pond.
His name has not been released.
