Body in river could be missing Anaconda woman
BUTTE-SILVER BOW COUNTY
Police in western Montana say a decomposed body found in the Clark Fork River south of Deer Lodge has tattoos matching those of a missing Anaconda woman.
But Anaconda Chief of Police Tim Barkell tells The Montana Standard (http://bit.ly/ZRxfUM) authorities have not yet confirmed the body as that of 41-year-old Tammy Salle.
The body found Saturday is being sent to the state crime lab in Missoula.
Salle was last seen on Dec. 23, and her family reported her missing three days later.
Salle's boyfriend, John Goldberg, shot himself to death before police could question him. His body was found on Dec. 29.
Fishermen found Salle's body in a shallow area in the middle of the river. Barkell says the body was likely dumped upstream.
