A 35-year-old Billings man who authorities say punched his 7-year-old son in the face three days before Christmas has been charged with felony assault of a minor.
The Billings Gazette reports (http://bit.ly/YuBQKu) that Eric Arthur Wick was charged Friday in Yellowstone County Justice Court.
Police say they were called to the Alpha House pre-release center Thursday where staffers told them that Wick had assaulted his son during a visitation on Dec. 22.
According to court records, Wick slapped the boy in the face and then grabbed him by the shirt and punched him in the face with a closed fist.
Wick was convicted of felony criminal endangerment after leading police in 2009 on a high-speed chase in a sports car he had taken for a test drive.
