BELGRADE, Mont. -

On Monday night, the Belgrade School Board voted to continue with plans to make their middle school grades 5-8.

Right now it's 6-8, and 5th graders attend the elementary schools.

Belgrade Schools Superintendent Candy Lubansky said they're still working out the details of sharing space with the 5th graders- like how to divvy up P.E. time and lunches.

But she said it's going to be a positive change.

"Where we find ourselves now is that we have a lot of positive excitement behind the concept of a 5-8 middle school" Lubansky said.

The school does plan to put a "frequently asked questions" page about the transition for parents on their website.

Lubansky said the 5th graders would be in their own separate wing of the schooL.
