The calls came across the scanner around 3:30 Sunday afternoon, for wildfire sparked near South Side Road just west of Missoula.
Montana Department of Natural Resources (DNRC) officials are in charge of the fire at this point. They're calling it the Albert Fire.
Several crews, engines and aircraft are responding to the wild fire; 60 plus people are working on it.
Fire Information Officer Cindy Super said the rapid response appears to be slowing the forward spread of the fire, and no structures are threatened at this time.
The fire is estimated to be close to 75 acres. The cause is unknown at this time, the fire is under investigation.
