We have new information on a disturbing armed robbery.
The FBI told us tonight that a bank robber in Northern Idaho is known as the AK-47 Bandit and has pulled off bank heists in other states.
Police in Rexburg say the robber threatened employees and customers at a credit union with what looked like an assault rifle and locked them in a safe yesterday.
Rexburg is in the northeast corner of Idaho.
Witnesses described the suspect as 5'10", 225 pounds. He was wearing a mask, black gloves, a black coat with a hood and baggy levi jeans.
Witnesses say he drove off in a dark blue sedan with tinted windows and a red and blue license plate.
The FBI says rewards are being offered in this investigation.
If you have any information, you're urged to call your local law enforcement.
