Spokane Man Faces Felony Charges In Missoula For Promoting Prostitution

MISSOULA COUNTY

POSTED: 4:44 pm MST February 3, 2012
A Spokane man faces felony charges for allegedly promoting prostitution in Missoula.

Court documents say Clifton Oliver ran prostitutes out of the Staybridge Hotel; the hotel manager says Oliver had checked in to the hotel 11 times since October 2011. She called Missoula Police when she thought she saw Oliver and a woman smoking drugs, in a car outside the hotel.

An officer posing as a client arrested one of the suspected prostitutes, and police arrested Oliver shortly after.

The judge set bail at $250,000 for Oliver, saying if the bail was set lower, Oliver might try to leave Missoula.
