PORTLAND, Ore. -- An Oregon man has been charged with sex trafficking in Washington state and Nevada involving a 13-year-old girl.A federal grand jury in Portland indicted 33-year-old Lendrick Lee Thomas earlier this month on five counts of sex trafficking and transportation across state lines with the intent to engage in prostitution. The indictment alleges that Thomas recruited, harbored, maintained and provided a minor female in reckless disregard of the fact that she was under 18 and would be caused to engage in a commercial sex act.A conviction for sex trafficking of a minor carries a mandatory minimum 10-year sentence to a maximum of life in prison.A federal judge on Thursday ordered Thomas to remain in custody as a flight risk and danger to the community pending trial.
