A Missoula man convicted in a 2007 murder appealed to the state supreme court.Anthony St. Dennis and another man, Dustin Strahan, stomped Forrest Salcido to death. But, St. Dennis' Lawyers claims his client didn't get a fair shake. The state assigned public defenders to St. Dennis and Strahan. Strahan cut a deal and testified against St. Dennis. The appeal claims it was not right for both clients to be represented by attorneys that worked for the state, and for the same boss. The appeal also claims St. Dennis should have gotten a new trial because police interviewed new witnesses, but did not tell his attorneys until after the case was decided. The court has not issued a ruling yet.
