BUTTE, Mont. -

Madison County authorities are investigating after someone took at least $20,000 worth of fly fishing gear from Twin Bridges shop over the weekend.
Dan Leavens said he opened Stonefly Outfitters on Monday morning to find he only had about 30 percent of his inventory left. He says the burglary happened between 11 p.m. Sunday and 5 a.m. Monday.
The intruders took fly rods and reels, rain gear, backpacks, fishing hats, cash and the cash register.
Undersheriff Roger Thompson says he's investigating a string of recent thefts. Someone took money from the casino machines at a Sheridan bar on Sunday night, a camping setup was taken from a camp site northwest of Twin Bridges last week and a motorcycle was taken from a fishing access takeout.
