Two men have pleaded guilty to a string of church break-ins in Missoula over the holidays.
19-year-old Jon Philip Worcester pleaded guilty to eight counts of felony burglary, felony theft and misdemeanor deceptive practices during a hearing before District Judge Dusty Deschamps.
Also Tuesday, 20-year-old Drake Anthony Hotzel pleaded guilty to nine counts of burglary and misdemeanor deceptive practices.
Prosecutors say the break-ins started Nov. 25 and continued until just before Christmas. One church was burglarized three times and another twice. Two homes also were burglarized.
At one church, wrapped presents intended for schoolchildren were torn open, and knives were stabbed into the walls, ceiling and a door. Prosecutors say at another church, a Christmas tree was used to break out a window.
