Two sisters who nearly drowned in the Yellowstone River are recovering after being rescued by a Miles City man.
Miles City Fire and Rescue Capt. Cameron Duffin says the girls were swimming Sunday evening when they were pulled under water and swept away by undercurrents.
Carolina Hanley says she heard the girls' grandmother yelling for help and she and her husband, Justin, ran to the water.
Carolina Hanley tells the Miles City Star that her husband jumped in the river and swam to the girls. The 10-year-old girl was holding up her 14-year-old sister when Justin Hanley reached them.
He got both girls to shore.
The 14-year-old was resuscitated by fire and rescue personnel and both girls were taken to the hospital. The older girl was later transferred to a Billings hospital.
