Two people died in a fiery head-on collision of a pickup truck and a semitrailer in the western North Dakota oil patch.
The Highway Patrol says 34-year-old pickup driver Jessie Jimison of Sidney, Mont., and 31-year-old passenger Obed Gonzales-Najar, of Espanola, New Mexico, died Sunday night when their vehicle crossed the center line on N.D. Highway 200 in McKenzie County near the Montana border and collided with the oncoming semi.
The semi driver, 49-year-old Keith Seibert of Leola, S.D., was taken to a Sidney hospital with undisclosed injuries.
The patrol says both vehicles caught on fire after the crash. Authorities shut down the highway for several hours late Sunday and early Monday.
