1977: Singer-songwriter John Mayer, who has sold more than 10 million albums in the U.S. and 20 million albums worldwide and earned seven Grammys, is born in Bridgeport, Conn. Some of his biggest hits include "Your Body Is a Wonderland," "Daughters," "Waiting on the World to Change" and "Say."
