1937: Robert "Rod" Roddy, best known as the announcer on "The Price is Right" from 1985 until his death in 2003, is born in Fort Worth, Texas. He is widely recognized by his signature "Price is Right" line, "Come on down!" He also served as an announcer on the game shows "Whew!" and "Press Your Luck."
