1957: Film director and animator Brad Bird, best known for directing the movies "The Iron Giant," "The Incredibles," "Ratatouille" and "Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol," is born in Kalispell, Mont. He's seen here in 2008 with the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature he won for "Ratatouille." He also won an Oscar in the same category in 2005 for "The Incredibles."
