A 15-year-old Great Falls boy charged with sexually assaulting an 11-year-old girl on her way home from school last fall will be tried as an adult.
The Great Falls Tribune reports the boy waived a hearing Friday over whether the case should be transferred to District Court. The boy is charged with sexual intercourse without consent and attempted sexual intercourse without consent along with aggravated assault, aggravated kidnapping and tampering with a witness and evidence.
The girl told police she was walking home from school on Oct. 24 when a boy grabbed her hat and ran into an alley, telling her she'd have to come and get it. She said once she got in the alley he hit her, knocked her to the ground, sexually assaulted her and choked her.
