A 15-year-old boy suspected of raping and choking an 11-year-old girl while she was on her way home from school has pleaded not guilty.
The Great Falls Tribune reports (http://gftrib.com/Vde8qd) the boy pleaded not guilty Friday in Cascade County District Court to two counts of sexual intercourse without consent, aggravated assault, tampering with evidence, attempted kidnapping and tampering with a witness.
Judge Greg Pinski set a Feb. 22 transfer hearing date to determine if the boy will be tried as an adult.
Court records say the boy last fall lured the girl into an alley by stealing her hat. The girl told officers he hit her in the face and knocked her to the ground, sexually assaulted her, put her in a choke hold and told her he would kill her if she told anyone.
