Authorities say a 67-year-old Libby woman died and five others were taken to a hospital following a head-on crash on U.S. Highway 2 west of Libby.
Police tell the Daily Interlake (http://bit.ly/UU5oAj) that Linda Jeanne Dabel died at St. John's Lutheran Hospital after the crash that occurred at about 2:45 p.m. Thursday.
The Montana Highway Patrol says Babel was westbound in her 2001 Dodge Caravan when 45-year-old Sue Wilson of Libby lost control of her 1990 Ford Bronco in slush and slow.
Police say Wilson's vehicle fishtailed before crossing the centerline and hitting Dabel's vehicle in the driver's side.
A 31-year-old woman in Dabel's vehicle as well as a 2-year-old child and 2-week-old infant were also taken to the hospital for treatment.
Wilson and a passenger in her vehicle also went to the hospital.
