The Montana Highway Patrol says a woman died Sunday morning in a rollover crash and fire in Lockwood and that a man and girl were injured.
Sgt. Buck O'Neill says the passenger car was eastbound on North Frontage Road when it drifted off the north side of the road for an unknown reason at about 11:35 a.m.
He tells the Billings Gazette that it continued for about 50 yards before striking an embankment and rolling, then catching fire.
Other motorists stopped to help put out the flames, and the man and girl got out though it's not clear if they did on their own or with help. O'Neill says the woman was trapped in the front passenger seat.
The man, who was driving, and the girl were taken to area hospitals.
