Russ Reed is the sports anchor at KTVM. He started working the NBC Montana sports department in February 2015.
Russ graduated from Syracuse University in December 2013, with a degree in Broadcast & Digital Journalism. While at Syracuse, Russ was very involved in the sports department at CitrusTV, one of the most widely recognized student-run television stations in the country.
Russ is originally from Raynham, Massachusetts, so naturally, his favorite professional sports teams are the Red Sox, Patriots, Bruins and Celtics.
In high school, he played on the football, winter track and baseball teams. Baseball is Russ's favorite sport, with football finishing a close second. But Russ enjoys all sports from basketball to golf to professional bull riding.
Even in his spare time, Russ still watches and reads up on sports, especially his hometown teams. He also enjoys working out, reading and watching movies.
Please e-mail Russ with any questions, comments, or story ideas.
The 117th Cat-Griz football game will also serve as the final home game for Montana State’s senior players. One of those seniors has been a big part of the Bobcats’ success on special teams over the last four years.
The Montana State University football team will look to rebound from a 16-14 defeat at the hands of then-No. 25 Kennesaw State (now No. 23) when the Bobcats face No. 24 Northern Arizona on the road Saturday evening.
