Saturday afternoon the high school tennis season came to a close with state champions being crowned.
In Bozeman the class 'AA' tournament wrapped up play, and the day belonged to the hometown Hawks.
In the boy's doubles championship match Bozeman's Robbie Pike and Andrew Hance faced Billing Senior's Willy Schuman-Kline and Jack Wilgus. Neither Bozeman player had won a championship before as they looked to do so on Saturday. That's exactly what the Bozeman duo did beating Senior in dominating fashion winning 6-0, 6-1.
"It feels exactly how I thought it would, it's amazing," said Hance. "It's just great to see all the hard work pay off."
"We've been working so hard for more than four years, and it finally paid off today and we're really excited," said Pike.
BOYS 'AA' DOUBLES
In the girls 'AA' doubles championship game Bozeman's Margot Shea and Sophie Allen faced Missoula Sentinel's Katie Veteto and Jenna Donovan.
The Bozeman duo had beaten the Sentinel duo just two weeks earlier in Helena. It was the same result for the Haws in the championship match as they beat the Spartans in straight sets 7-5, 6-3.
"Once we heard the boy's won we were like we have to win this," said Shea.
"It pumped me up so much I'm like okay that's how it feels to win, lets win," said Allen.

In Missoula the class 'B-C' state tennis tournament wrapped up play with championship matches.
in the boy's doubles championship match Loyola faced Cut Bank. Loyola controlled the tempo of the match from the start. Teddy Muth and Stephen Sellman won the first set and never looked back taking the title in straight sets .

In the girls doubles championship match Fairfield faced Townsend. It was a match dominated by Fairfield, Townsend was never able to find an answer to stop Jill Barta. Fairfield claimed the girls doubles title in straight sets.
GIRLS 'B-C' DOUBLES
In the boy's singles championship match Loyola's Kalen Christiaens faced Mission's Karl Daniels. It was a battle from beginning to end for the to competitors, Daniels took the first set of the match, but Christiaens responded by winning the second set to force a third set. Then, in the third set on the match point Daniels returned the a shot long and Christiaens finally edged out Daniels 4-6, 6-4, 6-2 to claim the boy's singles title.
