KALISPELL, Mont. -

A Whitefish woman who stabbed her husband during an argument at the couple's home has changed her plea to guilty of negligent homicide charges.

AnnMari Newton was arrested in November on assault with a weapon charges after stabbing her husband, Chad Newton.

Chad Newton suffered serious injuries from the stabbing that ultimately led to his family taking him off life support after he went into a coma.

AnnMari Newton was then brought in on new charges and changed her plea to guilty.

She is scheduled to appear in court October 30 when attorneys will argue for what sentence Newton should receive.
