Carnivores Classic is right around the corner and it's a benefit for the Missoula College Culinary Arts Program.

Organizers expect to serve over 1,000 people.

On Wednesday, students made last minute preparations. They made sure to get all the plates, silverware, and water glasses together. They even took time to prepare parts of the pig that will be barbequed this Saturday.

"We have diagrams of both Friday and Saturday night, maps of Caras park of what things are going to look like, our table settings, all of that," said Chef Suzanne Phillips.

"Pretty much now, take everything down there and cook it. We got pretty much all of our prep done the last week. We've just been working like crazy," said student Tom Coony.

NBC Montana is proud to be a sponsor of the Carnivores Classic event. The two day event kicks off on Friday May 30 with a VIP dinner and auction. Then on Saturday May 31, there will be an all day barbeque at Caras Park.
