BUTTE, Mont. -

Butte-Silver Bow police released the name of the suspect in an early morning shooting that left one man injured.

Luke Andrew Lapinski, 37, is from Buellton, California. Police say he should be considered armed and dangerous

The apparent victim, a 38-year-old Butte man, is recovering from a gunshot wound to his leg.

According to investigators, police received reports of gunshots on the 1800-block of Porter Ave. just after midnight Friday morning.

When they arrived to the scene police discovered that apparent victim had driven himself to the hospital with a gunshot wound to his lower leg.

Police say Lapinski may be driving a silver 2013 Chevrolet Corvette with California plates.

Butte-Silver Bow police have asked other law enforcement agencies for assistance in locating Lapinski. A $100,000 warrant has been issued for his arrest.
