A Flood Warning remains in effect through 12 pm Monday for the East Gallatin River below Bridger Creek. The creek has reached flood stage and minor flooding is being reported. Wtih over a quarter-inch of rain expected Sunday afternoon through Monday, expect water levels to stay at the current levels or even slightly increase through the coming week.
The graph above shows river levels from the past week. The area has been just below flood stage for the last week, so a little bit of rain is all it took to push the river out of it's banks. River levels for the rest of the Gallatin Valley are well below flood stage at this time. Expect this to be a short duration event.
Remember to stay out of floodwaters. A person can be swept away in only 6 inches of fast moving water. A car can be taken in less than 2 feet.
