Today's Severe Weather Threat Level is Low.
Very little change is expected in the overall weather pattern. High pressure will continue to be the dominant feature. That means stable conditions with sunny, very warm to hot days and clear, cool nights through the weekend. Lows in the 50s with highs in the upper 80s to mid 90s. The forecast is slightly different for southwest Montana. A weak backdoor cold front will drop into southwest Montana early this afternoon. As a result, temperatures will be cooler for cities and towns around Butte and Bozeman. High temperatures will be in the upper 70s and low 80s through the weekend. A slight chance of showers and storms Friday, mainly south of I-90 along the Wyoming border. A better chance of showers and storms from the southern Bitterroot Valley east to the Butte and Bozeman areas on Saturday, with moderate impacts.
Slightly cooler early next week when highs will drop into the upper 70s to upper 80s. However, hot weather will return the latter half of next week
