HAMILTON, Mont. -

It's the National Day of Prayer.

All over the country, people took time off to pray.

In Hamilton, dozens gathered at city hall for an hour.

They prayed for government, the military, the media, education, churches, businesses and families.

People prayed for good jobs and just employers, a media that presents truth, and public, private and home schooling.

"It's a wonderful country," said Pastor Bill Peddie. "But I think there are things that are happening in our families, and in our communities, and nationwide that cause us to want to pray and ask that God would bless our country."

Several Christian denominations in the Bitterroot took part in the event.
